We care about the community around us!

Investing in Our Community:

  • BRIDGES TO MOMS

Improving Birth Outcomes for Vulnerable Women and Helping Empowerment and Self-Sufficiency

Bridges to Moms is an organization that meets with the vulnerable moms during their prenatal, peripartum, and postpartum periods to assess not only their medical needs but any other barriers to a healthy birth and a nurturing relationship between mother and child. By providing intensive case management through patient-centered, trusting relationships, Bridges to Moms produce positive outcomes for homeless pregnant and post-partum mothers and their babies as they follow them through pregnancy up to the first year of the child’s life.

  • HEALTH CARE WITHOUT WALLS

Compassionate Care for Women and Families in Need

Every winter the Martin Group asks greater Boston’s design community to bring new socks to the showroom and donates them to Health Care Without Walls, an organization that cares for families in need. Since 1999, HCWW has distributed over 10,000 pairs of socks to homeless women and their children and we are proud to support their efforts.

In December 2019, we expanded our contribution to include the Holly Jolly Holiday Party. Our fabulous fabric lines collaborated with some of our talented designers to create one-of-a-kind holiday stockings. The designer stockings were available via silent auction with all proceeds going to HCWW.

  • SAMARITANS

    Preventing Suicide, Providing Hope

On Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, the Martin Group Family participated in the Samaritans 5K Run/Walk for Suicide Prevention for the first time. The team walked 3+ miles on a beautiful fall day alongside thousands of fellow suicide survivors. Together, we raised $3,681 that help Samaritans provide critical prevention and support services. THANK YOU to all of our donors and stay tuned for more info on next year’s walk.

  • INSPIRE ART & MUSIC

Inspiring young adults in the fine arts

Inspire Arts & Music (IAM) is a not-for-profit organization whose programs seek to develop and ‘inspire’ young adults in both scholastic and non-scholastic fine arts activities. The vehicle we use to do this is a portfolio of performing arts programs, and our mission is to help them develop and demonstrate the qualities needed to achieve excellence in both their program and their personal lives.
